What sets Miuara fireclay apart
Clay fired for 26 hours
Most kitchen bowls are fine fireclay fired above 2600℉ for 26 hours. That long firing at high temperature produces a heavy-duty ceramic body under the glaze. The weight that comes with it is real, so plan cabinet support before the sink arrives.
Walls and bottoms three quarters of an inch thick
The larger farmhouse models have 0.75-inch walls and a bottom of the same thickness. That depth of clay matters under the drain: a garbage disposal needs a deep flange to reach through it. The 32-inch double bowl and the 18-inch bar sink work with a 3.5-inch disposer.
Grid, strainer and prep tools in the box
A stainless steel bottom grid and a sink strainer come with nearly every kitchen model. The two workstation sinks add a cutting board and a drying rack that slide along the ledge over the bowl. On the 33-inch workstation, the grid is 304 stainless steel.
Two faces to choose from
Several apron sinks are glazed smooth on both front and back, so either side can face the room. The 30-inch workstation goes further with a reversible apron, smooth on one side and fluted on the other. The double bowl model is offered with a smooth or a fluted front as well.
Fine fireclay, vitreous china and stainless steel
Kitchen bowls are fine natural fireclay under a thick glaze, with Italy glaze on several models and clay from Europe on the 33-inch workstation. Bathroom pieces use a different body: vitreous china finished in white enamel glaze. Grids and strainers are stainless steel, which keeps metal cookware off the glazed floor of the bowl.
A fired glaze is easy to clean with a soft sponge and warm water. Leave the bottom grid in place when scrubbing cast iron or barbecue grates, since it lifts the load off the glaze. Keep scouring pads and wire brushes for the steel grid. Rounded inside corners, R10 to R20 depending on the model, leave fewer tight spots for grime to collect.
Fireclay is heavy. The larger bowls need a cabinet frame strong enough for a heavy-duty sink, so reinforce it before fitting, and treat the 33-inch drop-in as a two-person lift. Deck-mounted models give a load figure: up to 100 lbs on the 32 x 19 sink and up to 250 lbs on the 18-inch bar sink.

Big pots, sheet pans and grill grates
Cooks who wash large cookware gain more from length than from a second bowl. The 36-inch Matte Black apron sink has an inner width of 34.25 inches and suits pans, pots and barbecue grates. It calls for a base cabinet 39 inches wide and 24 deep; if yours is 36 inches, the 33 x 20 models are the next size down.
Two bowls for sorting and rinsing
Soaking in one basin while rinsing produce in the other needs a divided sink. The double bowl farmhouse model splits a 33-inch apron sink into two compartments for a 36-inch cabinet. For an undermount or topmount counter, the 32-inch double bowl has two equal halves instead.
Small kitchens and laundry rooms
A 27-inch base cabinet takes the 24-inch small sink, whose 10-inch internal depth handles buckets and hand washing. One size up, the 27-inch single bowl needs a 30-inch cabinet and can replace a sink in an existing countertop cutout. Both are dual mount with a 1.5-inch deck.
A second sink at the island or bar
Coffee stations, islands and outdoor kitchens are where the 18-inch square bar sink fits, and it is made for indoor or outdoor use. If the island needs a full prep sink, the 33-inch workstation with its cutting board asks for a 36-inch base cabinet.
About the Miuara range
The range covers kitchen, laundry and bathroom fixtures. Most of it is fireclay kitchen sinks: apron-front models in glossy white and Matte Black, plus undermount kitchen and drop-in bowls from 18 to 33 inches wide. A smaller bathroom group adds two pedestal sinks and an extra tall toilet.
Sizing follows the cabinet. Farm sink widths of 30, 33 and 36 inches line up with base cabinets of 33, 36 and 39 inches, and the 20-inch-deep versions want a cabinet 24 inches deep rather than 21. If your kitchen already has a countertop cutout, measure it against the dual-mount models first.
Bathroom pieces are sized for compact rooms. The 23-inch pedestal has a backsplash and three faucet holes; the 22-inch version takes a single-hole faucet. The two-piece toilet has a 22-inch seat height, dual flush at 1.1 and 1.6 GPF, a soft-close seat and a 12-inch rough-in, so it suits bathrooms plumbed for that rough-in only.
